About
Hey, I’m Allie!
My speciality is helping small businesses, aspiring bloggers and influencers build a blog and website they can be proud of.

This website was created to help aspiring bloggers and entrepreneurs not only start a blog. But, to also have confidence in their blog and website.
So many beginner bloggers start their blog only to become overwhelmed in the design and tech aspect of it that they ultimately give up. Sometimes, before they have even officially launched their blog (I may or may not have been this person years ago).
Gurus out there will tell you not to worry about design. This is unimportant.
And, yes, in the grand scheme of things content is the driving force behind a blog. But, if you have terrible design and are embarrassed of your website, how likely are you to actually share your website link?
Traffic (aka visitors to your website) doesn’t just come on it’s own. You have to put yourself out there, which means you’ve got to share your link.
There is no way around it. Well, unless you’re a wizard at Search Engine Optimization (SEO), that is. In which case, what are you doing hanging around these necks of the woods? ?
Either way, I’ve made it my goal to not only help you start a blog (many bloggers out there can do that). But, for you to also be so proud of your website that you shout it from the rooftops and share it with everyone you know.
I work hard to try and make it as painless as possible. And as a matter of fact, this entire website was designed without using a single line of design code!
My Background
If you want to learn a little more about me and my story, continue reading.
I was always the girl that tried to do the right things. I grew up hearing “go to school, get good grades and get a good paying job” all the time. It was engraved in my brain.
So, that’s exactly what I did.
I worked stupid-hard in every class I ever took. As a matter of fact, there are only two times where I can recount doing just “average” in class. Once, in driving school (go ahead … judge me ?) and once in Calculus (still couldn’t tell you what I learned from that class).
Either way, I thought grades were my ticket to that high-paying job I was promised in my childhood.
Come to find out, companies could care less about grades. It was all about experience … experience, experience, experience.
So, when I graduated with my degree in business, instead of a nice, juicy job, I was served a great, big slice of humble pie.
First Degree Related Job
Here I am on my last day at my bank job of nearly 5 years to pursue a career in Human Resources (HR).
It was a bittersweet day. I loved the department I worked in at the time (commercial lending), the job wasn’t too bad and you can’t really beat banking hours/ days off.
But, I was so excited to finally be working in a field that was closer related to what I went to school for …
And then reality set in.
It took it all of about a month to realize that HR was not going to be the be-all, end-all career path for me.
But, it was the job I would continue to do for the next 5 years. All while getting married and welcoming our first child.

Chaos in the Membrane
To be honest, deep down, I knew that a typical 9-5 job wasn’t for me. You’ll hear that a lot from online entrepreneurs.
It’s rarely about the money, but instead about the freedom you gain. To put it simply, you own your time.
While in college and all throughout my working job(s), I had dabbled in the online space. Drop-shipping, building websites, studying affiliate marketing, to name a few.
After our first child was born, I was overwhelmed. It had nothing to do with them, ever. But, rather because I had not figured out how to replace my income with an online business, yet.
After gradually cutting my hours at work (eventually down to 0), the pressure was on.
But, with all the information online, I was on the struggle bus.
Enter Blogging
One day, my husband says out of nowhere, “you should start a blog”. I laughed and said “nobody cares about what I do on a daily basis”. He went on to tell me that a podcast he listens to had a guest speaker. A stay at home mom that makes a living blogging on the internet.
I was intrigued.
So, I immediately went online and started reading everything I could about blogging. I devoured YouTube videos, articles and anything else I could get my hands on.
Then, I said let’s do it. I set it all up and made my first few blog posts. And I made a bazillion dollars and life was grand and I never had a worry in the world again. KIDDING.
It was an epic failure.
My first blog was on motherhood. It seemed like the hot thing to do and I was right in the thick of it. It just made sense.
I had a couple of articles that were hot. But, overall, I wasn’t too happy with the performance of it. And it was so ugly that I refused to share it with family and friends. So, I shut it down.
However, what I had learned instead was that I became obsessed with the design and tech aspect of setting up a blog. I would spend the next couple of years launching new blogs, learning and testing everything I could. Even designing websites for a couple of small businesses in the area.
And once I felt like “ya know, I got a pretty good handle on this”, I launched this very blog you are on now. So many bloggers blogging about blogging focus just on the “tech-y” side of things. The design process is often left out.
Being proud of your website is HUGE. It gives you a confidence boost and screams out to the world “I have arrived!”
And, I want you to be so proud that you are shouting just that from the rooftops and sharing the link with everyone you know!
